Oboshesh (“we,” “our,” or “us”) built the Expense Minder app to help users track their personal expenses easily and securely. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

2. Information We Collect

  • Google Account Information: When you sign in, we collect your Google email and basic profile details for authentication.
  • Expense Data: Information you manually enter (such as expense title, category, amount, and date) is stored securely in Firebase Cloud Firestore.
  • Device Information: We may collect non-identifiable technical data such as device type, operating system version, and app performance data.
  • Analytics Data: We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage information such as app interactions, screen views, and session duration.
  • Advertising Data: We use Google AdMob to display personalized and non-personalized ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers such as the Advertising ID and usage data to provide relevant ads.
  • Device & Advertising Information: We may collect identifiers like Google Advertising ID to improve ad experience and app performance.
  • Subscription & Purchase Information: When you purchase a subscription, we may collect information such as subscription type, purchase status, and expiry date. Payments are securely processed through Google Play Billing, and we do not store your payment card details.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve app features.
  • To securely back up and restore your expenses using Firebase.
  • To personalize user experience and advertising.
  • To ensure secure authentication with Google Sign-In.
  • To display relevant ads and measure ad performance.
  • To manage subscriptions, verify purchases, and provide premium features.

4. Data Storage & Security

All user data is securely stored using Google Firebase Cloud Firestore. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

5. Your Rights

  • You may request deletion of your account data at any time by contacting us.
  • You may clear app data or uninstall the app to remove locally stored information.
  • We will permanently delete your stored data upon verified request.

The app uses third-party services to improve functionality, analytics, and advertising.

7. Advertising & Meta SDK Usage

We use Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network, and Facebook SDK for advertising, analytics, and performance measurement.

  • AdMob: Used to display ads. May collect Advertising ID and usage data.
  • Meta Audience Network: Used through mediation to display ads and measure performance. May collect Advertising ID, device information, and app usage data.
  • Facebook SDK: Used to measure ad performance and deliver ads.

The app collects only anonymized and non-sensitive data such as:

  • App installation events (fb_mobile_install)
  • App activation events (fb_mobile_activate_app)

No financial or sensitive personal data is shared with advertising partners.

8. Subscription & Payments

The app offers optional subscription plans to unlock premium features.

  • All payments are processed securely through Google Play Billing.
  • We do not collect or store your credit/debit card or payment details.
  • Subscription status (such as active plan and expiry date) may be stored to manage access to premium features.

Users can manage or cancel subscriptions anytime through their Google Play account.

9. Google Play Data Safety Compliance

This Privacy Policy aligns with the data practices declared in the Google Play Data Safety section. This includes the collection and usage of:

  • Device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID)
  • Analytics data
  • App interaction data

All collected data is used strictly for app functionality, analytics, and advertising purposes.

10. Children’s Privacy

Expense Minder is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If such data is detected, it will be deleted immediately.

11. Updates to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated “Effective Date”.
